Soapstone Dip Bowl
Smooth and stackable, our soapstone bowls are versatile for use in the kitchen or to be decorative. This hand carved Kenyan bowl is perfect for holding jewellery, keys, small bathroom items or left empty for the sheer beauty of its simplicity. It is also the perfect size for dips, olives, condiments or nuts.
Soapstone is a beautifully tactile metamorphic rock with a marble-like appearance. The natural variations in the surface are part of its distinctive charm.
This vessel is polished and treated with natural beeswax.

All of these products are hand carved in a small town in the south west of Kenya and carved by a youth self-help group, founded in 1996 with 40 members.
As with all handmade items, there may be slight variations in the colour, shape and size. We embrace these subtle nuances as they are also a part of the natural character of the stone. The pink variation can arrive with a more rosy or peachy tone.

Care: Clean with a soft damp cloth. If needed, hand wash with a little soap. Soapstone is not suitable for dishwashers.
