Samaki Spoon
Designed especially to use with salt, sugar and spices, it would also make for a great canape spoon.
We've named this spoon 'Samaki' because the shape of it resembles a fish which in Kiswahili is 'Samaki'.
Made by our artisans in Tanzania, this piece has been beautifully carved and is a perfect gift for a foodie. Some of the spoons feature a unique two-toned natural grain, showcasing the raw natural beauty of African Blackwood.
We work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.
Your purchase supports job creation and helps to keep the tradition of wood carving in the Makonde tribe alive.
