Large Snack Bowl
Our classic small snack bowl is great for smaller items but we also wanted to see it in a larger format. It is such a beautiful one off piece - great for nuts, crisps, fruit and also something to keep your bits and bobs in.
Hand carved by Daniel, one of our talented wood carvers in Tanzania, each bowl takes a day to make. Daniel uses a free hand technique that allows him to have more control over the shape and achieve the beautifully tactile finish.
We work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.
Your purchase supports job creation and helps to keep the tradition of wood carving in the Makonde tribe alive.

Material: African Blackwood
Please note although the wood is called African Blackwood, it can sometimes have beautiful light grains and sections running through it.
Size: 12cm diameter | 3cm handle width | 7cm height
Care: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking in liquids. Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood.
