Imperfect Small Scallop Tray

Our scallop edged trays are made from a beautiful African blackwood and combines traditional techniques with modern design. The intricate pattern is etched by hand using simple hand tools by our wood carvers. An ode to the old and nod to the new.
 
This piece has a crack in it, as pictured. 
 
We work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.

Material: African Blackwood
Please note although the wood is called African Blackwood, it can sometimes have beautiful light grains and sections running through it. We love the two tone look and hope you do too.
Approximate Size:
Small -  16cm diameter | 3cm height
 
Care: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry immediately. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking in liquids. Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood.
