Mninga wood has a naturally appealing texture and distinctive grain.
The scoops are handmade for us in Tanzania by our artisans. They use a traditional free hand carving technique allowing them to have more control over the shape. We work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.
Your purchase supports job creation and helps to keep the tradition of wood carving in the Makonde tribe alive.

Material: Mninga Wood
Size: 10.5cm long x 5.5cm spoon diameter (approx)
Care: Hand wash gently in lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave soaking. Use food safe mineral oil when required to retain the natural finish of the wood.
